the rest of the family who arrived the following year.
Martin and the older boys tried their luck on the Ballarat and Creswick
gold fields before turning to farming in the Murchison and Boho areas

believe he settled in Warrenbayne near Violet

Victoria). Some time after 1886, Martin and Sarah with
sons, Martin and William, moved to Chiltern and then to Rutherglen
where they
remained until their deaths.
Martin Pascoe is listed as a Miner
in the Marriage Register for his daughter's marriage. (Doc #47).
He is listed also as a Miner on his
daughter's Redruth Birth Registration Certificate. (Doc #77).
Martin's Redruth marriage to Sally (sic Sarah) Kinsman's was number 333
in the year 1841. They were married in
the Redruth

by J.W. Hawksley. The Witnesses

in the Echuca hospital with
parents living in Gunbower,
Victoria.
Moved to Melbourne
before the age of 18 months. This was necessary because of a congenital
bone condition (Osteogenesis Imperfecta) rarely known in rural Victoria. Once in Melbourne
the family moved several times - Coburg,
Werribbee, again Coburg,
Port Melbourne, Flemington, and Footscray.
He married whilst living in Footscray and again moved several
times. He was finally divorced when son
Steven was around 3+ and shortly afterward acquired the custody of the

children.
Much of the family holidays and long weekends were spent in Violet
Town
and Strathmerton. In Violet
Town
the family spent all of the time at "Uncle Joe (Joseph Footter) &
Aunty
Laura's (Lavinia Evelyn (Laura) Pascoe)".
His parents and rellies would stay up playing cards after the
children
were put to sleep.
As he got older, yabbying in "Wilson’s
Dam" was
a favourite past-time, and then later, rabbiting in the hills with
cousin Kevin
Charles Footer (son of Elizabeth Joan Footter & Unknown Byrne out
of
wedlock). These years were very fulfilling along with the stays at the
Morris's
dairy farm at Strathmerton.
He started an apprenticeship when he was 16 as an industrial engraver,
later to diversify into chemical engraving. He also developed skills in
woodwork, electronics and became known as a computer guru in the Buchan
area
that he lived.
He moved to Violet
Town
in 1993 after he gave up work and went on a disability allowance. This
move came about when Kevin's then wife Patricia Dunn?? passed and Kevin
wanted
to keep the home that he and Pat bought, so he rented from Kevin until
a
rekindled relationship between Kevin and his first girlfriend, Kevin
then moved
back in himself.
This was a time of change, where once Kevin and he were once seen as
brothers, Kevin's new relationship (later marriage) put stresses
between them
that were still alive at the time of Kevin's death in 2003.

School
for Crippled Children - to year 8, Engraving apprenticeship with O
& H Fleishman - general and industrial engraving.
Work: Engraving, Chemical Engraving. Later a volunteer for community
groups and Online Access Centre in Tasmania
from April 2005 where he now lives.
